The Research On The Impact Of The China’s Foreign Trade Policy Adjustment On Guangdong Foreign Trade

Since the reform and opening up, China’s foreign trade policy has been adjustedand innovated along with the development of the international trade environment. Ithas made tremendous contributions to China’s economic growth. Nowadays, in theincreasingly complex international environment, China’s foreign trade is still facingsevere challenges like how to grab opportunities and develop with the progress oftimes.This thesis combs the time-sequenced characteristics of the choice of tradepolicy, and focuses on the new Chinese trade policies that are made to face the changein global economy. What’s more, it further analyzes the reform of Chinese tradepolicies and their effects on the foreign trade in Guangdong province under thedeteriorated situation of protectionism in international trade after the financial crisis.Based on both theoretical and empirical analysis, this thesis studies the impact of thechange of foreign trade policies on the imports and exports in Guangdong province.At the beginning, this thesis briefly introduces the research background,significance, theoretical basis and literature review. By the means of game theory, itprovides the evidence on the choice of Chinese foreign trade policies in the complexglobal economic environment. According to the different time-sequencedcharacteristics of the evolution of Chinese foreign trade policies, it introd uces theevolution and current status of Chinese foreign trade policies in four different periodsafter the reform and opening up, as well as the development and difficulties of theforeign trade in Guangdong province under the evolution of the Chinese policies.According to the different mechanisms of trade policies tools, the main part of thisthesis explores the reform of Chinese foreign trade policies and its effects on theforeign trade in Guangdong province, together with the impacts of the several ma inimport and export policies on the foreign trade in Guangdong province through boththeoretical and empirical analysis. In the end, it also proposes several suggestions onhow to make an adjustment on China’s foreign trade policy in the currentinternational economic conditions.
