Since reform and opening up, China’s foreign trade has developed rapidly. The customs statistics shows that China’s foreign trade exceeded$1trillion the first time in2004. It reached$2.207226trillion in2009and$3.64206trillion to in2011. Now China has become the second-largest trading nation in the world only after the United States. Base the speedy development of China’s foreign trade, the ratio of dependence on foreign trade soared in2009,2010,2011, and reached45%,51%,50.1%respectively. If the ratio of dependence on foreign trade continues to develop in current speed, it will be far from the normal level. This higher ratio will increase the difficulty of macro economic regulation, influence country’s economic security, and influence the development of the domestic industry. Meanwhile, because there is inevitable connection between the ratio of dependence on foreign trade and foreign trade structure, the higher ratio also reflects some existing problems and risks of China’s foreign trade structure. The spread of international financial crisis in2008made us to realize that:the structural reform of foreign trade is necessity and urgency.Depend on foreign trade theories as well as big amounts of data; the paper takes the high ratio of Dependence on Foreign Trade as a tool to analyze China’s Commodity Composition of Foreign Trade, Mode Structure of Foreign Trade, and Region Structure of Foreign Trade. Based on analysis of China’s foreign trade structure status quo, the paper studies the structural risks and problems of China’s foreign trade, such as:the structure of manufactured goods is not reasonable, the level of service trade and intra-industry is low, export goods still mainly on labor-intensive, the structure of External regional is too concentrated, internal regional structure imbalance, and the problem about regional income is gap, etc. The paper proposes some feasible advice and solutions to optimize the foreign trade structure. The aims are to reduce the risks of foreign trade structure, improve the foreign trade contribution ratio to economy, and also develop foreign trade healthily and stably.
