Research On Technical Efficiency Of Coal Enterprise Of China

Coal is a very kind of important energy, accounted for70%in the energy system in ourcountry, and the other energy is relatively small, so in the future, China will continue togive priority to the coal energy structure, other words, we can say that the development ofcoal industry relationship with national energy security will affect the national economyoverall situation. We know coal resource is non-renewable resource, so we should payattention to its development efficiency, What’s more the coal listed companies in Chinaeconomic benefit is bad, short-term behavior and resource waste is serious, technologicalprogress (TP) level is relatively low. Comes with the increase of economicinternationalization in our country, coal enterprises are facing increasingly fiercecompetition. So it is crucial important to evaluate the economic efficiency of coal listedcompany justly and reasonably. Based on this, we evaluate the technical efficiency (TE) ofcoal enterprises in our country, it will provide a reference for coal enterprises developmentin the future, and it is important for the coal enterprises and the social economicdevelopment.This paper is divided into six parts, the first part mainly introduces the background andsignificance of topics, the research dynamic of domestic and foreign, the overall train ofthought and research methods; The second part expounds the related theory, the papermainly introduces the technical efficiency and total factor productivity, the basic theory ofDEA, lay a theoretical foundation for later research; The third part describes the researchmodels, include CCR, BCC, SE-DEA and Malmquist productivity index; The fourth partcarries on the empirical analysis, firstly, determine the research scope, and choose typicalenterprises, secondly, select the indicators, as well as determine the sources of data, at lastanalyze the specific technical efficiency; The fifth part,we will according to the result ofthe fourth part of the research conclusion put forward corresponding suggestions; Sixth partwe describes the innovation points and deficiencies of this paper.The research method of this paper uses the combination of the microcosmic andmacroscopic; combining the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis; combiningqualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, in which the empirical analysis uses DEA,and this paper changes the traditional method, which can not compare decision-makingunits longitudinal development and changes, and use the panel data to analyze, it canestablish more excellent frontier. At the same time by using the super efficiency model(SE-DEA), can make the all decision making units comparative. This paper according to the principle of DEA index system, selects the input indexes:①Total assets at the end of the year, which reflects how much social resources the industryoccupy. It includes fixed assets and current assets;②The annual average number ofemployees, which reflects human input;③The main business costs. It mainly includes coalmining cost and coal processing cost. The output indexes are:①Main business income,which reflects the market value.②Coal production.Final results show that the technical efficiency of coal listed company is not ideal, withfrontier distance is bigger. Reasons mainly are input indicators in the hardest workersredundant, production costs are high. Analysis of total factor productivity suggests that thefuture will pay more attention to technological progress, strengthening scientific andtechnological innovation, increasing the productivity of coal enterprises. Finally this thesiscombined with the data analysis results puts forward some suggestions to strengthen the TEof the coal enterprise, includes improving industrial concentration, reducing inputredundancy, controlling cost; improving the level of organization and management;speeding up the technology progress, strengthening the cultivation of talents, andestablishing transportation special line for coal.
