Since the reform and opening up to outside world, the system obstacle on labormobility has been eliminated gradually in our country. As a result, more and moremigrant workers transfer from the rural to the town. The group of migrate workersexpand so quickly that more and more scholars show their concerns on them. And theirwages has become the focus of the study. Generally speaking, with the rapiddevelopment of china’s economy and people’s living standard, the wage growth ofmigrant workers is very significant, revealing a trend of fast increase. However, the gapamong migrant workers seems to be bigger and bigger.Based on the background, this paper studies the factors that affect the wagedifference among migrant workers. At first, this paper analyzes the current situation andthe development trend of the wage differences. Then I divide the differences into threeparts: the wage difference among migrant workers with different human capital, thewage difference among different industries and the wage difference among differentregions. According to the division, I do some theoretical analysis and empiricalanalysis. Then I draw a conclusion that the educational level and the gender are the mostimportant human capital factors. The relative degree of monopoly among industries isthe most important industrial factor. The capital-labor ratio and the level of economicdevelopment are the most important area factors. Finally, according to the aboveanalysis, I put forward some reasonable recommendations in controlling the wage gapamong migrant workers.
