Study Of Trade Relations Between China And Ivory Coast

This study investigates China emergence in a developing country such as Ivory Coastespecially on bilateral trade side. The focus will be to understand the degree of interactionbetween the two economies mainly by providing a performance basis of commercialrelations between both countries during the10last years.The challenges which Ivory Coast faces to enhance its national competitiveness areexplored, notably the intense competition due to the considerable flows of Chineseproducts and domestic demands for these products within Ivorian market. Africancountries have seen their first industries-in particular within the textile sector-threatenedor outmanoeuvred by China’s giant mass production. However Benefits which arise fromthis cooperation are also highlighted as well as strategies which might lead to a mutualbeneficial relationship between China and Ivory Coast.
