An Research On The Relationship Between Private Corporate Social Responsibility And Corporate Performance

With the high speed development of economy, lacking of social responsibility becameexposed as an issue for private corporates. In this paper, we use the stakeholder theory as thebasis, from this point, we discussed about the relationship between China’s private corporatesocial responsibility and corporate performance, and attempt to establish a formula for therelationship between these two.In course of the study, first, we should make a clear boundary of the object we studied,distinguished from the other kind of the enterprise, to determine the particularity of China’sprivate enterprises; Secondly, we made a review of the relevant theoretical research oncorporate social responsibility, corporate performance and other conduct literature, bysummarizing the prior researchers’ methods and achievements, we select stakeholder theoryas the foundation for the study of this paper; thirdly, on the basis of researchers’ achievements,combined with the reality and characteristics of China’s private enterprises, we establishedevaluation index system for both social responsibility and corporate performance, with expertquestionnaire, we given weights for each breakdown index; in the form of a questionnaireconducted empirical study, we use the internet to disseminate questionnaires, by usingEXCEL and SPSS, questionnaire results were analyzed, then, we conclude that there is apositive correlation between social responsibility and corporate performance, and furthermore,we found that each stakeholder has a different correlation to the corporate performance, Basedon this, we try to establish the correlation formula; At the last of this paper, according to thestudy, we given certain suggestions to improve China’s private enterprises socialresponsibility status, such as enhanced the satisfactions of employees, consumers, governmentand the community to meet their needs and so on.
