Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan accounted for80%of tourist arrivals in Chinese inbound tourism market, and foreigner markets accounted for20%of tourist arrivals. Different countries of inbound tourism is different. Foreign tourist arrivals in different provinces of Chinese inland areas are quite different. Expanding foreign inbound tourism market and improving the uneven development status of foreign inbound tourism market in China will promote the rapid development of China’s inbound tourism market.This thesis research on the foreign tourists volume of China. The date from the yearbook of China tourism statistics(2000-2010), the National Tourism Bureau and the National Bureau of Statistics website. Relevant indicators to measure differences in regional development, dominance theory, rank-volume theory, multivariate linear regression model to study the source countries of inbound tourism volume differences and inter-provincial foreign inbound tourism difference. And analyzes the reasons for the differences volume, and then propose appropriate development proposals.The conclusions are:①oreigner markets accounted for20%of tourist arrivals in Chinese inbound tourism market. Foreigner inbound tourism revenue accounted for the proportion of total inbound tourism income is between40%-60%.And the foreigner market advantage in the inbound tourism market continues to strengthen.②he structure of Chinese inbound tourism origin countries is not balanced and relatively stable. South Korea, Japan, Russia, the United States are the main source markets. Malaysia, Singapore, Mongolia, Philippines, Australia and Canada tourist market are important source markets. Asia is the main source markets. More source countries in the European tourist market, but most of the source country market pending further explore. Source markets of the United States and Canada, the Americas have developed steadily. We can open up more new source country market. Oceania advantage of the tourist market is not strength. But was steadily strengthening trend.③The structure of Inter-provincial foreign inbound tourism is not balanced and relatively stable. Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Beijing are Chinese major foreign tourist reception provinces, these provinces foreigner inbound tourism accounted for half of the volume. Liaoning, Shandong, Yunnan, Heilongjiang and Shaanxi Province are the dominance significantly provinces. Most developed eastern part of foreigner inbound tourism. Within the region is the most significant differences. The central region at a medium level of development, the foreign inbound tourism smaller differences within the region. Foreigner inbound tourism in the western region development is lower, within the region there were significant differences.④source countries inbound tourism volume differences due to economic factors, distance factors, traffic factors, political factors, cultural factors, tourists factors, crisis events and important events. Different provinces in the level of economic development, tourism resource endowments, tourism facilities and transportation facilities difference is the main reason for the formation of the inter-provincial foreign inbound tourism difference, the difference of the level of inter-provincial economic development is the most reason for the inter-provincial foreign tourists volume differences.Innovative points:①separate study on inbound foreign tourism scale differences. From two aspects of the source of foreign tourists and immigrants distribution differences;②Differences in characteristics of the source countries inbound tourism volume and inter-provincial inbound tourism volume. Summary of the reasons for the formation of the volume differences and make recommendations accordingly.
