The rapid development of the hot springs and spa tourism demand continued to grow, especially the Midwest underdeveloped areas formed a surge of spa tourism and development boom, due to the relevant theoretical support is weak, some early stage of development spa tourismnow in disorderly status. Therefore, starting from the Tourism Area Lifecycle Theory on the basis of defined the concept of growingSpa tourist destination, select the MianZhu Lutang International Spa Resort as the research object, using tourists’ behavior analysis as the starting point for empirical research to explore the growing Spa tourist destination development Strategies.In terms of visitor behavioral characteristics research, using the questionnaire and statistical software to study the demographic characteristics of visitors, Source markets, motivations, Time selection rules and Tourists’ Perceptions. The results show that:1、The gender of visitors divided equally; mainly in the16-45years old; most of them are with a typical highly educated characteristics;tourist occupational students, civil servants, enterprises and management personnel.2、The most tourists purposes is go on holiday.3、The main source of the hot spring market is highly concentrated for theprovince.4、Tourists in the province showed the basic characteristics of the short tour tourist travel behavior at the Lutang International Spa Resort; The remote visitors with short-range tourists attractions preference is basically the same;Tourists choose a destination within the space of an appreciable distance attenuation rule.5、Visitors at the Lutang International Spa Resort overall satisfied,but proposed that there is still much room for improvement in several aspects of dining, entertainment.Finally, according to the tourists’ behavior analysis,put forward the growing spa tourism and development strategy in the future:1、Integration of a variety of resources to overcome the hot spring low season for tourism;2、Innovation and development, the use of a refined model of development;3、based on the Spa tourist’s quality,fusion of the integration of the local culture to create the band of Lutang International Spa Resort;4、Go with the path of sustainable development.
