Agricultural Comparative Advantage And Chongqing Agriculture Industry Structure Adjustment

Using the principle of comparative advantage to adjust the agricultural structure isthe main purpose of the comparative advantage of agricultural products research. Thispaper analyses the comparative advantage in the production of the main agriculturalproducts in chongqing, on the basis of that, this essay used data envelopment analysisto measure and evaluation on the efficiency of agricultural production in chongqing,and finally make the agricultural structure adjustment.Firstly, this paper offers a summary of relevant study at home and abroad.,compares various kinds of quantity analyses and finally choose the methods of domesticresource cost coefficient(DRCC) and aggregated advantage index(AAI).After analyzingthe evolution process of Chongqing agriculture industry structure, this paper measureand compare the DRCC, EAI, SAI and AAI of Chongqing and other provinces in China,find out the advantageous products such as rice, beans, tuber, bast-fibre, flue-curedtobacco, vegetables, pork, poultry and fresh-water fish.And then, the paper analyzes the input-output efficiency of the main products inthe37(Yuzhong couty is an exception)couties by using the Data EnvelopmentAnalysis(DEA), and measure the efficiency of production resource allocation and theredundancy degree, the result show most couties have redundancy more or less, themain reson to cause the phenomena is the investment of labor and capital are too much,but the agriculture technology is poor. Finally, this paper point out some problem inadjusting the agriculture structure such as the simple structure, the shortage ininvestment of agriculture, and the weak infrastructure and so on, and finally it proposesome initial reform to adjust the agriculture structure.
