Theory and practices of project management have always being developed since20th Century; project management has been widely used in all industries. As an important branch to science of management, project management has become not only the assurance for successful implementation of big and complex projects, it also has evolved into an important form to business organization and management. With the market competition increases and business relies on IT more, operation efficiency and core competitive power improvement via IT project implementation is vital to sustain and development of a business. Therefore, it becomes challenging for IT project to use the means and methodology of project management for improving the stakeholder management of IT project to motivate the support from the stakeholder for maximizing the investment.From project management perspective, using the theory of project management as basis, the essay takes stakeholder of IT project in JY as subject of study. With analyzing project stakeholders’influences to the result of the project, the essay states the importance of the project stakeholder management in implementation of IT project. The management of the stakeholder improves the recognition of project deliverables by relevant parties, and promotes the chances of success of the project implementation significantly.Firstly, the summarization and analysis of IT project implemented in the pass in JY states the issues in stakeholder management came across by IT projects implemented in JY. Further study has been carried out to the main issues of IT project stakeholder management in JY, a way of identifying, categorizing and assessing of IT project stakeholder has been developed systematically, as well as detailed definition of stakeholder responsibilities in projects of all kinds. Along with it, the use of ADKAR and DISC to identify the traits and barriers of project stakeholder of all kinds has been introduced for specific communication strategy and method development. Lastly, using Kron project as a case example to practice and inspect the result of the study. With the result of project implementation, the methodology has highly operability and practicability. It will significantly improve the management of stakeholder in IT project. Using ADKAR in project management is creative which improves the attendances of the project stakeholder in project implementation, allows the project team members do their best and assure the smooth implementation of the project. In addition, regarding the build of project team and communication with project stakeholder, we use Maston’s DISC as a tool to analysis characteristics for developing communication strategy. Thus, the support from the user is improved while the conflict is reduced, which assures the smooth implementation of project.
