Research On Mixed Operation Of China’s Joint-stock Commercial Bank

The mixed operation has become a global trend. And the domestic scholars view on the mixed operation of banking is relatively unified, they all agree that our country’s commercial bank will implement the mixed operation in the future.There are three modes:US financial holding company, British’s banking holding company and Germany’s universal bank. But which one is the most suitable for us? And what can we learn from those modes? And how to develop our country’s mixed operation banking business? This paper argues that this is a problem worthy of study.We know there are12Joint-stock commercial banks in our country, obviously those bank have the biggest power in its origin place. For example SPD Bank has the biggest influence in shanghai. This paper is for such thinking:let the Joint-stock commercial banks and the city commercial bank based on the local first, then through its broad influence (include the local government’s support) to integrate the local financial resources, developing its strength, then developing to the whole country. This is my paper’s basic view.But how to achieve this goal, through which way, this is what my paper want to argument in the next.In my paper, I want to argument three questions:First, the three types of banking mixed operation are really appropriate to us? What can we learn from those modes? We want to find a suitable way from the three modes, to develop our own banking mix operation; Second, I want to argument that is there any necessity and feasibility for us to develop banking mixed operation? Only this is necessary, then we can continue our research; third, after argument the necessary of banking mixed operation, then based on the actual condition of our country’s Joint-stock commercial bank, we want to make a mixed operation banking mode which is really suitable for our country.There are six parts in my paper: The first part is the outline of my paper, introduce the main means of my article and the method that use in this paper and so on.The second part introduce some theories about the banking mixed operation: for example, the Economies of Scale Theory、Economies of scope、Institutional Economics and so on, to explain how the banking mixed operation to work.The third part, introduce some international experience. Through studying the US financial holding company mode, the British bank holding and the Germany universal bank to find a way that suitable for our own country.The fourth part, I want to introduce the history of our country’s banking development and the current situation of the mixed operation.The fifth part, to argue that our country’s Joint-stock commercial bank has the necessity and feasibility to develop banking mixed operation. In this part, I use the method that John H.Boyd, Stanley L.Graham, and R.Shawn Hewitt use in the1988to prove the efficiency of bank mixed operate the insurance business.The last part, based on the above, I want to format a mixed operation company "SPD Banking—CP insurance company", to prove that the banking mixed operation is efficiency.That is the brief structure of my paper.
