As China’s automobile industry market gradually opening, batches of powerfullarge-scale international automobile manufacturers and their supporting suppliershave entered in China which establishes joint venture companies in recent years.China’s auto companies will face fierce competition. Establish a good suppliermanagement system is the foundation of the competition. We have entered a newera—the era of supply chain management with the development of science andtechnology and management innovation. Purchasing department is an important linkbetween enterprises and suppliers in the supply chain. Purchasing management is anew strategy work in the new era.Firstly, this paper will introduce the content and process of purchasing workabout Changchun FengYue Company. Then put forward some problems aboutpurchasing management, and analyze these problems from the inside to the outsideperspective. The author proposes that the purchasing management issues should beimproved.The author study the “house by Toyota”,“Toyota lean manufacturing”,“JITpurchasing” concept and combine with working experience of Toyota’s joint venture,propose to use “purchase house” theoretical models to guide procurementmanagement concepts When put forward the countermeasures,. For Internalmanagement issues, the author advise to improve procurement organization, establisha comprehensive supporting procurement support system—including the optimization of the procurement process, procurement personnel training, purchasing informationsystematic, timely procurement; The author advise that they should establishcooperation relationship with suppliers through reasonable strategic supplier selection,supplier management science methods, training core suppliers, and with suppliers toestablish a win-win development of procurement management model; For Toyotajoint venture with other OEMs procurement relations, proposed to establish a jointventure from the entire Toyota joint procurement strategic thinking. Through a seriesof procurement management improvement and upgrading, the whole supply chain toachieve fast, efficient, high-quality development in order to adapt to the currentcompetitive environment.
