Objective:The hospitalization expenditures of people who had subscribed to basic medical insurance of Occupational Injuries in one province from July,2005to July,2010and its influencing factors was analyzed and discussed. Besides, a preliminary forecasting of total hospitalization expenditures of Occupational Injuries insurance of this province was made so as to provide data support for the further reformation and improvement of the industrial injury insurance system in future and adjustment of settlement style of industrial injury hospitalization costs. Methods:The data is the people with work-related injury insurance that were in-patients from the2005to July2010of a province. The insured person totals9,294cases conforming to the research requirements after cleaning of the data, which constitutes the objects of this research. The study gives statistical analysis for hospitalization expenditures as well as univariate analysis of hospitalization expenditures on aspects such as gender, company type, hospital degree, year, age, nature of the accident, and hospitalization days. The stepwise multiple linear regression analysis is conducted gradually with the taking of per-time total average hospitalization expenditures as the dependent variable and gender, company type, hospital degree, year, industry, working age, age, injury degree, hospitalization days, and nature of the accident as the independent variables, thus to discuss the main influence factors of per-time total average hospitalization expenditures for work-related injury patients. The gray prediction model is adopted for preliminary forecast of the total hospitalization expenditures. The statistical analysis software used in this study includes Excel2007, SPSS13.0and Matlab6.5.Results:1. Hospitalization expenditures of injured patients:①from2005to2009, hospitalization expenditures of injured patients in this province was increased yearly with average expenditures of18,500Yuan;②drug costs among every part of expenditures accounted for the highest percentage of 43%in the total expenditures.2. The influence factors analysis of hospitalization expenditures of patients were as follows:①respectively make comparisons between per-time total average hospitalization expenditures, monitoring and nursing cost, examination and assay cost, treatment cost, drug cost and general medical service cost of various groups which was divided based on injured inpatient with different sex, company type, hospital degree, particular years, industry, working age, age, injury degree, accident nature and hospitalization days, the result of which indicated the hospitalization expenditures variance of10factors above were of statistical significance(P<0.05);②stepwise multiple linear regression was applied to make an multiple-factor analysis with result showing except for age, company type and industry, the rest7factors of hospitalization days, hospital degree, particular years, injury degree, working age, accident nature and sex were all main influence factors. The average hospitalization expenditures was higher with the longer hospitalization days, higher hospital degree, more serious injury, longer working age and occupational injury resulted from accidents of higher hospitalization expenditures. Actually, the average hospitalization expenditures of female injured patients were lower than that of male injured patients, and the average hospitalization expenditures of injured workers of private enterprises were higher than that of public institution.3. The result of grey prediction displayed that from2010to2012, hospitalization expenditures of injured patients in this province showed a trend of increasing yearly.Conclusion:1. Hospitalization expenditures of people who had subscribed to industrial injury insurance in this province was increased yearly and drug costs accounted for the highest percentage, which indicated that the proper control over medicines costs played a significant role in reducing hospitalization expenditures of injured patients.2. The main influence factors of the average hospitalization expenditures consisted of hospitalization days, hospital degree, particular years, injury degree, working age, accident nature and sex. 3. Hospitalization expenditures of injured patients in this province showed a trend of increasing, which reminded relevant departments of exploring proper settlement style of industrial injury hospitalization costs and further improving the industrial injury insurance system.
