In the background of international innovation and economic globalization, enterprises face the crisis in the fierce competition, but also eliminated provides opportunity, wise enterprises start to pay attention to open innovation. Turbulent and complex environment requires enterprises to possess dynamic capabilities. In the scarce resources of environment, enterprises need to promote inbound open innovation, and organizational learning is the cornerstone of inbound open innovation. The existing studies on the relationship between organizational learning and dynamic capabilities are quite fruitful, studies on the relationship between dynamic capabilities and inbound open innovation are still in the early stage of research.However, the study on the relationship among organizational learning, dynamic capabilities and inbound open innovation is rare.The purpose of this study is to apply the theory of organizational learning in the unique social and economic context of China and analyze the relationship between knowledge-based organizational learning and inbound open innovation. Meanwhile, this research introduces dynamic capabilities as the intervening variables in order to explain the influence of the intervening variables on the relationship between organizational learning and inbound open innovation.Based on the reviewing of existing literatures, this empirical research put forward a research model and relevant research hypotheses.117small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of hardware manufacturing of Zhejiang Jinhua are taken as a whole sample. Data is processed by SPSS (Version19.0). The results are as following:(1) Knowledge acquiring, knowledge integrating and knowledge creating are positive related to inbound open innovation.(2) There is different relationship between organizational learning and the dimensions of dynamic capabilities (market sensing capacity, absorptive capacity and flexible capacity).(3) There is positive relationship between inbound open innovation and the dimensions of dynamic capabilities (market sensing capacity, absorptive capacity and flexible capacity).(4) There is partial intermediation effect of dynamic capabilities on the relationship between the dimensions of organizational learning and inbound open innovation.Chinese institutional context and market environment are quite unique. Analyzing the relationship of organizational learning and inbound open innovation under these backgrounds while dynamic capabilities’intermediation effect, this research may broaden the application of the theory of organizational learning in China. This study also contributes to provide practical guidance of promoting inbound open innovation for SMEs in China. The selecting of the research objects and the intervening variables in this empirical research provides a new perspective for further open innovation research for SMEs in China.
