Along with the third wave development of Knowledge Economy, the market environment presents unprecedented flexibility and variability. An enterprise does not take simplex natural capital or financial capital as the strategic resource any more, but Knowledge or Intelligence Capital has become the critical resource, which effects the economic growth, social development and business growth as well. Management of some enterprises have realized that the profit growth is not able to be guaranteed by low-cost strategy and repetitive production on low-tech products. Enterprises must be equipped with a differentiated competitive advantage through increasing self-management level and innovating on organization knowledge.As a brand-new management pattern, Knowledge Management helps an enterprise to form own unique competitiveness to maintain the leading on the markets in current fierce market environment. Therefore, more and more enterprises have started to explore and practise the Knowledge Management model which is suitable for their development.Traditional pharmaceutical retail industry has been also facing the enormous challenge under the knowledge economic situation. Except cost control and organization reform, Firms are forced by competitive pressures from inside and outside of the industry to rethink how to utilize knowledge management to construct the core competitiveness which conforms the enterprise development modelH Company, a nationwide chain pharmaceutical retailer listed in overseas stock exchange market, is identified as a retailer, a chain store, as well as a pharmaceutical enterprise. H Company is now facing multiple pressures coming from outside, such as the intense competition brought by the policies of the latest health care reform, the incremental operation cost led by the social and economic development, the impact of new business models like E-commerce etc. Meanwhile, it is restricted by the internal factors. So H Company is looking forward to strengthening its core competitiveness by improving the capability of sharing and communication of the knowledge in the organization and effectively implementing Knowledge Management.Starting from the introduction for Knowledge Management, basing on the operation strategy of the enterprise, and combining with the SECI model of the knowledge management, this paper finds out the current situation of internal Knowledge Management and seeks a Knowledge Management route tailored for Professional Service, it provides a theoretical and practical example for the Knowledge Management of pharmaceutical retail industry.
