As the soul for enterprise development, innovation improves the enterprise’s ability to innovate without delay, which represents the core competitiveness of enterprises. The grass-roots staff is the subject of innovation, and their innovative behavior affects the entire enterprise innovation performance. However, within the situational factors in the organization, leadership has been proven one important factor to shape employee innovation in both theoretical world and business community. Previous studies mainly focused on the transformational leadership impact on employee creativity and research results are relatively dispersed. So far, the study still lacks empirical studies to examine transformational leadership on employee innovative behavior.The main purpose of this study is systematical to investigate the transformational leadership on employee innovative behavior from the employee cognitive psychology perspective. And on this basis, try to explore employees’ different aspects of psychological cognition.This study uses large-scale survey as the main research method, and the investigation objects is the grass-roots staff that comes from Jiangsu, Jiangxi and other places. By e-mail and on-site testing facilities, this paper received392valid questionnaires. After the collected data has been valid normed, strictly sorted and coded, the reliability of questionnaire was tested by the method of internal consistency reliability analysis and confirmatory factor analysis method. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis and multi-regression analysis are used to analyze and verify the relationship between the variables as well.The main conclusions of this study are:transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on employee innovative behavior; psychological empowerment, leader-member exchange, organizational innovative climate have play the partly intermediary role in the process for transformational leadership effecting on employee innovative behavior.
