| With the economic globalization, the world economic center is shifting to the East Asia. China has become the target market of many countries. Every country has increased the investment in China, which is to promote the import and export trade of our country, and to bring a good opportunity for China’s port development. But at the same time, it makes the even more fierce competition between the domestic ports. Therefore, if you want to make a long-term development of ports in the fierce competitive environment, researching on the port competitiveness is particularly important.After years of development, China’s Bohai region has formed three port groups. One is Tianjin and Hebei Ports Group, which is dominated by Tianjin port and Qinhuangdao port, and supplied by Tangshan Port, Huanghua Port and Caofeidian Port. The other is Liaoning Ports Group, which is dominated by Dalian port and Yingkou port, and supplied by Dandong port, Jinzhou port and other ports. Another is Shandong coastal Ports Group, which is dominated by Qingdao port, Yantai port and Rizhao port, and supplied by Weihai port and other ports. Through analyzing the main factors which influent the port competitiveness, the article focuses on the competitive strength of Tianjin port in Bohai Sea Port Group, and put forward the suggestions for improvement based on deficiencies.In this paper, it take the method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis.(1)From the perspective of qualitative analysis, this paper introduces the development status of the major ports in the Bohai Sea, and then make a SWOT analysis on the current situation of Tianjin port.(2)From the perspective of quantitative measurement, Firstly, we will use the factor analysis to sum up several major aspects from all the impacted indicators of the port competitiveness, combining with the comprehensive score of each port to sort the competitiveness of the major ports around the Bohai Sea. To obtain the Tianjin port’s ranking. However, regardless of the Tianjin port’s ranking of the comprehensive competitiveness in the Bohai Sea Ports Group. There may be the problem that its input and output technical efficiency and scale efficiency is not be a valid state. And then we use the DEA data envelopment analysis method, through the further analysis of the input-output efficiency of the Bohai Sea Port Group, mainly to detect the problems of Tianjin port yet. And proposing the improvement method to solve the problem.Finally, to summary the factor analysis and data envelopment analysis results, concluded that the comprehensive competitiveness of Tianjin port on Bohai Sea Port Group ranked the first, and it in the effective state of the technology. Then puts forward some suggestions to improve the future development trend of Tianjin port. |
