Rural Public Good Supply:Evidence From Yue Yang

China is a large agricultural country, agriculture, farmers and rural issues are deeply influenced by China’s specific national conditions and the complexity of the historical background and other factors, which make rural public goods supply and demand become increasingly unrevealed. In order to vigorously develop the rural economy, improve farmers’ living standards and build a harmonious rural, also let the national farmers to enjoy the achievement of reform and opening-up, the country is laboring on socialist new rural construction, of which the supply of rural public goods is the most important.This paper studied the public goods supply in Yue Yang, offered an example of rural public goods supply in Hu Nan province. Started with the theory of public goods supply, which offered a guideline for the empirical study, then, it reserched the present supply of rural public goods in Yue Yang, found that there are many problems in the public goods supply in Yue Yang, such as the total amount is insufficient, the supply structure between city and rural is not balanced, the mechanism is not efficient, etc. After that, this paper list the rural public goods supply in the United States, Japan, Germany and India, also proved practical value of the policy proposals to the effective supply of rural public goods. Thus it put up with the policy safeguard to the effective supply of public goods in rural areas, and contributing to China’s rural social and economic good and fast and sustainable development.
