With the deepening of economic globalization, economic restructuring and development of world trade, trade in services has been developing rapidly. Trade in services has gradually become an important economic project which affects economic development, and plays an indispensable role on a country’s international trade competitiveness. With the continuous progress of economic integration, there is more competitive among the world, and development of world trade gradually shift from trade in goods to trade in services. Therefore, having a strong competitive trade in services has become a key which has a place in the international market for a country. There are many problems in the development of Chinese trade in services. Although Chinese trade in services has developed rapidly, capital and knowledge-intensive service trade development has been relatively slow. The start of trade in service is late, and the industry structure is not balanced, which reduce Chinese international competitiveness of trade in services.Firstly, using service trade volume and export industry structure, the paper analyzes the development status of the Sino-Japanese trade in services, and points out the problem. Secondly, using these four indicators-international market share, trade competitive advantage index, revealed comparative advantage index and competitive advantage index analyzes the competitiveness of the Sino-Japanese trade in services. Then using Porter’s Competitive Advantage of Nations researches the factors affecting the competitiveness of the Sino-Japanese trade in services, by these six aspects the production factors, demand conditions, related industries and supporting industries, corporate strategy and peer competition, the role of government and opportunities, points out the problems in Chinese trade in services. Finally, for the existing problems, proposing some policy recommendations to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s trade in services.This study is divided into four chapters. Specific arrangements are as follows:Chapter1:Introduction. This paper describes the research background and significance, and introduces the ideas and contents of this study. Chapter2:Literature review and theoretical basis. This chapter reviews the domestic and foreign literature on the trade in services.and evaluates the existing researches, finds out shortage and new research directions in the existing researches,Chapter3:Introduction Sino-Japanese trade in services development status. From the total trade in services and trade in services export industry structure to explore the development of Sino-Japanese trade in services.Chapter4:Analysis of Sino-Japanese trade in services competitiveness, the paper analyses the whole competitiveness level of the service trade of China-Japan by TC index, RCA index, CA index, and points out that the service trade competitiveness of China-Japan declines gradually.Chapter5:Analysis of the Sino-Japanese trade in services affecting international competitiveness factors. Using Porter’s Diamond Model to study the factors, points out the problems of China’s service trade, puts forward reasonable proposals.Chapter6:Elaboration on the problems of China’s service trade. The paper makes recommendations on development of China’s service trade and improvement of international competitiveness.Through the study, the main conclusions:China’s overall development level at a lower level, but the development speed quickly. In the technology-intensive industries have the advantage. Japan’s service trade competitiveness depends on emerging capital-intensive industries and technology-intensive industries, which reveals that the Japanese have a strong modern service trade competitiveness.
