Research On The Upgrading Of Regional Industrial Clusters In The Global Value Chain Perspective

The upgrading of regional industrial clusters is not easy and its comprehensive upgrading is more difficult. The purpose of this paper is to explore the internal mechanism of the upgrading of industrial clusters in the global value chain perspective and then study the industry cluster comprehensive upgrading path, and thus solve the difficulty of the functional upgrading of industrial clusters.So this paper takes three methods such as a literature study and theoretical analysis combined; normative analysis and empirical analysis; system analysis combined with interdisciplinary cross analysis and so on.Then I read widely associated treatises, collecting from the reality of economic life, organizing and refining information, forming the basic ideas and thinking context of the text after some independent thinking.The paper thinks that the upgrading of regional industrial clusters in the global value chain perspective is actually the mode of the network chain collaboration. The "net" is the cluster knowledge network and the "chain" is global value chain, and independent of the value chain,"collaboration " is the coordination of two or more different resources or individual to complete a certain objective with common and consistent process. The network chain collaboration model requires the "network" and "chain" two vectors to the formation of joint promotion of a comprehensive upgrading of regional industrial clusters. Specifically, the network chain collaboration mode means cluster knowledge networks and global value chain promote each other and depend on each other. Regional industry clusters embedded in the global value chain introducing of knowledge, improving the cluster knowledge network. Then, rely on the cluster knowledge network effective integration through knowledge and creation, to promote self-construction of the value chain, and ultimately promote the comprehensive upgrading of regional industrial clusters.Based on the above opinions we proposed the path of a comprehensive upgrading of regional industrial clusters in the global value chain perspective. Path I of the upgrading of regional industrial clusters in the global value chain perspective:embedded in the global value chain, to improve knowledge networks. Rely on this path we can complete the upgrading of the product and process. However, the regional industry clusters is also faced with the plight of the functional upgrading blocked. In order to break through this dilemma, we come up with the path II of the upgrading of regional industrial clusters in the global value chain perspective: rely on the knowledge of network to build own value chain. These two paths and jointly promote the comprehensive upgrading of regional industrial clusters.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter emphasizes the research background and significance of research, research methods, possible innovation and other content.The second chapter has two parts:First, discriminate important concepts such as industrial clusters and upgrading of industrial clusters, global value chain and independent value chain. Second, review of the research status. Discrimination of the concepts as well as the review of the literature below lay a solid theoretical foundation.The third chapter has two parts:the first part is a description of the urgency and necessity of the upgrading of regional industrial clusters in the global value chain perspective. Based on analysis in advance we promote theory in depth. So in the second part of this chapter we explores the internal mechanism of the upgrading of regional industry clusters-"network chain collaboration" mode, trying to guide future upgrading practice.The forth chapter shows the two paths of a comprehensive upgrading of regional industrial clusters based on patterns in the network chain collaboration. The first path is embedding in the global value chain to improve the knowledge network; the second path is relying on the knowledge network to build self-value chain.The fifth chapter is the empirical part. We take China Taiwan PC industry cluster for an example to prove the internal mechanism of upgrading of the regional industrial and two paths.The sixth chapter is the study’s brief conclusions and outlook.
