Chinese automobile parts manufactures are facing unprecedented challenges thatcome from rising in price of raw material, price reduce of automobile manufacturesand many competitive international automobile manufactures because Chinesegovernment eliminates the tariffs of automobile parts. Construction of systeminformation, which is considered as the promoter of progress for enterprises and a keypoint for Chinese automobile parts manufactures to break through and enhancecompetiveness. ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) embraces advanced managerialthoughts. As a symbol of informatization, ERP inevitably has become the first choiceof enterprises. In order to promote the adoption of ERP in automobile partsmanufactures,proper guidance must be given to automobile parts manufactures. In thisway, ERP can be successfully implemented. So, ERP can receive public attentionfrom home and aboard, theoretically and practically.Plans on ERP, which is the base and premise for ERP be accepted, at certainextent influence weather or not ERP will be implemented. According to the specificcharacteristic of automobile parts manufactures, this paper reasonably uses thegradually frequently-used information technology adoption model. This paper modifiesthe model appropriately to apply to automobile parts manufactures’ ERP planning.Automobile parts manufactures also can follow some guidance to implement ERP. Thismodified model can increase the rate of successfully implementing ERP in automobileparts manufactures and play an important role in informalization. This is good for thetheoretical progress and application of technology adoption model.This paper starts from the introduction, characteristics, classification oftechnology adoption model. Then we analyze existing problems of automobile partsindustry and their need of ERP application and currently situation of ERP application.We integrate TAM on individual level and TOE on enterprise level. Then we constructERP adoption model suitable for automobile parts industry. This model not onlyincludes the reference route for automobile parts manufactures, but also proposes anERP planning strategy that will increase the adoption rate of ERP from the influence ofexternal independents. Then we testify the validity of model by implementing thisstrategy to an actual automobile parts manufacture’s information system implementationplanning. At last, we conclude research and achievement and propose for futureresearch. This paper proposes seven strategies,including analyze external context frominformalization pressure,match goal of ERP construction and goal of enterpriseinformalization strategy, pay attention to optimization of process, match ERPfunctional planning and demand of management,enhance employee training, care ofmodel selection strategy,introduce of third-party consult.
