Due to China’s policy regulation properly, the automobile industry as the national pillar industry took the lead from the comeback, after the blowout type09-10year growth rate, China’s auto industry began to enter more rational "micro growth" period since2011. China automobile industry investment as the best choice is obvious to all business--if you have enough money. In2012, China automobile industry growth in the steady state, behind the global car industry growth rate of5%; at the same time, China’s domestic automobile export products with low added value, no international competitiveness significantly, the export structure needs further upgrade. Nowadays, China has clearly become a big country of auto, but how to play to their advantages, the integration of all resources, promote regional industry and national industry competitiveness, and thus become a vehicle power, which is worthy of positive thinking and the depth of the proposition.In this paper, from the perspective of the competitiveness of industrial cluster theory, the Shanghai automobile industry cluster competition situation as sample to research object, carries on the analysis to the Shanghai automobile industry cluster basic pattern and development status of the econometric model and analysis method, and makes an empirical study on the competitiveness of Shanghai automobile industry, and the development status of domestic three major automobile industry cluster and the existing problems as a comparison object,, to conduct in-depth comparative study, the comparison results to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of Shanghai automobile industry cluster at present, Shanghai is to provide reference for the development of Chinese automobile industry.
