The Development Of Farmer’s Agent

Farmer’s agents are the products of the development of rural market-oriented economy.And they are active in the rural economic area. They work on the mediation services of thebuy-and-sale of agricultural products in order to promote trades between people and chargefee for the process. It complies with the objective requirements of the development of ourcountry’s rural market-oriented economy and is suitable for the practical needs of moderncountry. Farmer’s agent is the bridge linking the farmers and market, and it plays a veryimportant role in dredging the agricultural products circulation channels, promoting theadjustment of the structure of rural production, as well as accelerating the construction of newcountryside. Thus, every region should develop and enlarge the farmer’s agent team strongly.However, because of the fact that it is organized voluntarily, there are many problems in thisteam, such as the different quality of members, the low degree of systematization, thedispersion of trade, the disorganization of circulation, the backwardness of operating modeand means, the restraint of managing environment, the weakness of risk resisting ability, etc.These problems arouse a certain degree of trust crisis among farmers, therefore affect thedevelopment of rural economy seriously. It can both enrich the related theory of farmer’sagent and provide beneficial reference to the improvement of the comprehensive quality ofit’s members to study the subject of farmer’s agent under the background that agriculturalmarketization is becoming more and more fully.Based on the document analysis and individual interviews, I worked out the farmer’sagent questionnaires at first in this passage. Then I asked some farmers and farmer’s agents toanswer them, and summarized the current situation and existing problems of farmer’s agentafter analyzed the questionnaires. And finally I put forward the measures to solve thoseproblems.This study can be divided into5chapters. The first chapter discussed this research’s goaland meaning, as well as the studying ideas and methods. The second contributed to thedocument analysis. I sorted out and summarized some related research results home andabroad, and it provided me with some reference and support to my finishing of the research.In the third part, I gave a general description of the concept and development of farmer’sagent. It also introduced several common types of farmer’s agent in our country and made asummary of the theory about farmer’s agent. At the beginning of the fourth chapter, Ipresented the development process of farmer’s agent in Taozhongcun, then I analyzed the current situations and existing problems of farmer’s agent in Taozhongcun with evidencecollected. I made some improving explorations in the fifth part which was based on myresearch of the problems existed in farmer’s agent and it’s combination with related theories.
