With the upgrade of economic structure and the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, the service industry has become the main driver of world economic growth. Service industry of developed countries has reached more than two-thirds in the proportion of employment and GDP. Service innovation not only has an important significance on national competitiveness and industry strcture, but also highlights its importance in micro enterprise. Innovation has become an important source of the competitiveness of the service industry.Based on the above awareness of the importance of service innovation, and combined with the tutor’s subject, this paper will apply the quality function deployment (QFD) method and the theory of invention problems solving (TRIZ) into the service industry, which are effectiveness in the technology innovation field. Then in the view of the special attributes of service, the study expands the scope of appilication of two methods and put forward a method based on fuzzy QFD and TRIZ to solve the problems in service innovation. We select passenger service as the research direction and attempt to do the exploratory research in passenger service on the basis of fuzzy QFD and TRIZ theory.Although widely applied in the field of product design, QFD and TRIZ theory respectively expand their range of application to prove its validity in terms of service design. But after corresponding for service of QFD and TRIZ considerations, we found that QFD can effectively decompose the customers’requirements; layer by layer until the service measures is put forwod. But the innovative measures provided by the QFD tool are insufficiency, which still needs researchsers’ experience for processing. The TRIZ tool can create invention principles to obtain useful tips, but its definition of contradictory also depends on the experience of the designers, the difference between technical parameters and service attributes has not obtained effective remedy. That is to say, after the transformation into the service industry, two effective methods failed to resolve their contradiction.TRIZ contradiction conflict discovery process is accomplished by qualitative description of the problems; it can effectively solve the problem of "how to". Other design theories, especially the method of quality function deployment (QFD), it can solve the problem of "what to do". Therefore, play to their respective advantages, the organic combination of both will help the service product innovation. Study results also show that the integration of fuzzy QFD/TRIZ is effective, we can get creative problem solving methods according to customers’demands.
