On The Measurement Of Jiangsu Province Industrial Structure Upgrade

Since the reform and opening-up policy, Chinese economy has obtained great development. For a long time, China has played a role as fabricator for the western countries, which the substance turns to be the excess capacity was absorbed by western countries. Compared with developed countries, China is positioned in lower level in international division and cooperation with low additional value. China was influenced in the financial crisis in2008, as one the most developed area in eastern China, Jiangsu province has suffered serious impact during this crises. So, industrial transformation and upgrading is quite urgent that no time to delay. More and more research has been taken to industry structure upgrade path, however the research about determination of industrial structure upgrade is quite inadequate. So determinate and indicate the direction of industrial structure upgrade in Jiangsu is quite significant.This paper analyze the current situation of Jiangsu industry structure:the three industrial structure is reasonable while the proportion and level factor of tertiary industry are low, The industrialization process of Jiangsu Province was in its late stage which is the adjustment stage of industrial structure. Determinating industrial structure upgrading of Jiangsu with the Level measurement model of the industrial structure with the conclude as follows:the light and heavy industries of secondary industry are developing neck by neck. But the proportion of emerging high technology industry stays less. Traditional service industry stays the main status in tertiary industry. Generally, Jiangsu industrial structure is reasonable with the chances of upgrading.This paper has raised five factors which influence the Jiangsu industrial structure upgrading according to the status analysis and determination analysis: supply actor, technological innovation, demand factor, opening to the outside world and exogenous shocks. Also empirical analysis was taken to Jiangsu industrial structure upgrading, as the result supply actor, technological innovation and demand factor have obvious influence.Finally, according to the influence factors, this paper proposed policy suggestion for Jiangsu industrial upgrading:vigorously implement the innovation-driven strategy, establishing and improving the modern industrial system, talent developing Jiangsu province.
