Study On The Advantages In The International Competition Of Agricalture Of Liaoning Province

Agriculture, as the basic industry, its development has a huge impact on the national economy. Liaoning province, as old northeast industrial area, has entered the stream of opening to the outside world in the early stages of the reform and opening up. Its contact with foreign economies becomes closer and closer these years, in which agriculture plays a most important role. Due to its obvious location advantage, Liaoning province has gained new vitality in agricultural and rural development in recent years, which greatly enhanced Liaoning’s comprehensive strength. In2010our province has become the fifth big province of agricultural exports and successfully becomes an agricultural province. But compared with the advanced agricultural provinces, the international competition of agriculture in Liaoning province is still weak. Mainly, the proportion of agricultural trade in the total foreign trade gradually decreases, export quantity is little with low international market share. In2012, agricultural and its processed products exports reached＄1.21billion, which was only about a quarter of Shandong province-our neighbor. Imbalance in the structure of agriculture and other problems such as low level of industrialization and less competitive also become the bottleneck restricting the further development of agriculture in Liaoning. So in this background, a comprehensive analysis of the present situation of Liaoning agriculture’s international competitiveness, finding out the factors that affect competitiveness and putting forward relevant solving measures is endowed with important practical significance.Based on the agricultural development in Liaoning province and relevant national statistics, this paper try to determine and analyze the international competitiveness of agriculture in Liaoning province by analyzing each sample both quantitatively and qualitatively using theoretical analysis and empirical of the combination of static and dynamic study.This article altogether is divided into six parts:Chapter I:puts forward the theoretical and practical significance of the proposition, summarizes the latest progress on this theme gained by both domestic and foreign scholars, puts forward research methods, analysis framework, innovation and deficiency.Chapter Ⅱ:indicators and evaluation model of international competitiveness. This chapter constructs the comprehensive measure of international competitiveness index system from the aspects of agricultural competition performance and competitive power, placed a empirical analysis framework for the evaluation of competitiveness.Chapter Ⅲ:this chapter analysis the production and trade of agricultural products in Liaoning province on the basis of a widely collecting of data, then studies main agricultural products in our provinceChapter IV:raise countermeasures. This chapter discusses the way to improve the international competitiveness of Liaoning province from the aspects of industrial structure, improving the quality and safety, promoting the industrialization of agriculture, strengthening the construction of marketing network and perfecting the system of government support and so on.
