Study On The Obstacles Of Export Enterprises In Carrying Out RMB Settlement Of Cross-border Trade

In order to remove barriers for Chinese export enterprises in carrying out RMB settlement of cross-border trade in goods, the author did a survey in Dongguan and Yiwu with questionnaire and interview measurements,hoping the study can help some small cities and export enterprises in China be more succesful in the cross-border RMB trade settlement.Based on the logic from macro, meso to micro and the theoretical study,the paper mainly focused on the facts happening lately and the materials getting from on-the-spot investigation.Combining the experience of the monetary internationalization of other countries and the international financial system, the basic conditions of China for promoting RMB settlement in cross-border trade was analized,including economic, politics, financial market environment, the stability of RMB and RMB free convertibility.Then,using a tiny view,this paper analized the present situation of the export enterprises in carrying out RMB settlement of cross-border trade in Dongguan and Yiwu city, based on the data and cases getting from the field survey.We found that the promotion of cross-border RMB trade settlement was not very smooth,especially for the export enterprises.The volume of the RMB settlement was small,with not a lot of export enterprises taking part in this project. The foreign import countries usually located in Hong Kong,Africa and Southeast Asia.Small companies and midsize family-owned companies were lack of consciousness of avoiding the exchange-rate.The right of discource for Chinese export enterprises was easily lost because of the lack of self-owned brand and Product innovation. But at the same time，we also found that "market purchasing" was a trade pattern which benefited the cross-border RMB trade settlement for the export enterprises in China. According the analysis above,some advices were offered for the country,local government and export enterprise respectively at the bottom of the paper.Removing the obstacles for the export enterprises in carrying out RMB settlement of cross-border trade needs the joint efforts of various departments.
