Planning Of Supply-chain-oriented Information System Of Gooday Corporation

Since the Twenty-First Century, the information technology has been playing an increasingly important role in logistics companies with the economic globalization and rapid development of logistics. The logistics is being socialized, large-scale and informationized.The paper is based on Goodday Logistic Service Corp. Using the planning concept of logistic system home and abroad and combining the actual condition of the enterprise, it has made a deep research on the planning of the information system and proposed a feasible solution to the information system of the enterprise by applying Service Supply Chain Model.The first part of the paper illustrates the meaning and contents of the paper, the research methods, the current study of information system and the tendency of the development. The second part is about the related theories of the information system and the service supply chain. It also introduces the business process reengineering and the value chain. In the third part, the requirements and the problems of information system of Goodday Logistic Service Corp are obtained, after a long time site investigation and a detailed interview of the experts. It is found that the business system and the order system need to be improved, as the efficient information delivery path and the effective management are required. Then, it puts forward an overall planning for the information system with Service Supply Chain Model. The first step of the planning is to build the horizontal information system of the Goodday Logistic Service Corp. In the end of the paper, it makes the feasibility study of the information system and raises some measures and suggestions for keeping the efficient run of the system, which will improve the market competitiveness of the company.
