An Empirical Study On The Relationship Among Energy Consumption, Carbon Emissions And Economic Growth In Yangtze River Delta

When the global environment problems especially the climate problems become moreand more serious, the scholars of all countries gradually come to realize the importance of theresearch on relationship between energy consumption, carbon emissions and economicgrowth. Energy inputs are the indispensable condition of economic growth. However, a greatdeal of energy consumption is directly led to the global carbon emissions excess. Theirchange and development is the mutual influence and mutual associated How to maintain theircomprehensive sustainable development is the urgent problems That is to say, in keepingeconomic development and at the same time, we can not only use energy reasonably, but alsoreduce carbon emissions.Yangtze River delta region including Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang three provinces, isOne of the most typical areas of China’s economic development. It has advantages on thesocial economy development, domestic and foreign investment environment, technologyinnovation ability. In the nearly20years, it also accounts for the most proportion of energyconsumption and carbon dioxide emissions in china. The rapid economic development has ledto the deterioration of the environment. When we have a deep understanding of therelationship between energy consumption, carbon emissions and economic growth, we canbenefit a lot from it. It can provide guidelines for us, when we make plan for futuresustainable development strategy and work out practical and effective policies and measures.Based on the study of the theory, this paper mainly analyzes relationship between energyconsumption, carbon emissions and economic growth from the perspective of positivism.The first chapter is the introduction part, this paper expounds the purpose and meaningof the topic, introduces the domestic and foreign scholars in the related research results, thispaper puts forward the ideas and methods and innovation and deficiencies.The second chapter firstly introduces inner relations between energy consumption,carbon emissions and economic growth, secondly from their gradual characteristic aspectsexplain the main content of the researchThe third chapter is statistical analysis part. It uses the method of comparative analysis,comparative study data. The results show that they have roughly the same change trend. Thatis to say, they have mutual influence and mutual associated.The fourth chapter is the econometric analysis part, using panel data and vectorautoregressive research method to analyze the dynamic relationship between them. Theresults show that in the long term there is a cointegration relationship between energy consumption and economic growth, carbon emissions and economic in Yangtze river deltaregion. And they also there is a cointegration relationship between energy consumption,carbon emissions and economic growth. In the short term, they are causal relationship.The fifth chapter is this library’s existence curve of this research, it is based on library’sthis curve theory. It uses empirical test to prove the existence of the environment of thislibrary’s this curve and carbon emissions library’s this curve. It predicts the knee points appearrespectively in2022and2025or so.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this paper.
