Swot Analysis And Research Of Countermeasures On The Inland Waterway Transporttation Industry Development In Shaoxing

With the new situation of China rapid development in economy, and increasing requirement for modern transportation system, the inland waterways transport industry has been a very important part of the comprehensive transportation and a promising industry with great potentiality.While Shaoxing,as a canal town, its inland waterway network leads in all directions and the inland waterway industry development will definitely promote the development of the city,the growth of the regional economic and the people’s living standard. And it also affects the improvement of the city’s ecological and traffic environment. Through the research on the inland waterway transport industry status in Shaoxing, this paper suggests several countermeasure and suggestions for the inland waterway industry development and makes a reference for other areas.This pape takes a deep study in Shaoxing inland waterways transport industry by several aspects such as inland waterways system with navigation capacity, the ports with handing capacity, the ships with transport capacity,the reality of the related enterprise development level,Lag of infrastructure construction, the navigation restrict,the lag of ship development, the defect of waterway transport infrastructure and unsound administrative system. This paper fully analyses the Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Shaoxing inland waterway transport industry with the SWOT analysis, and also Puts forward the strategic choice for this industry development.Combined with the industrial cycle theory, industrial cluster theory, the growth pole theory, the growth axis theory and Alternate push-pull relationship theory, this paper also takes a analysis in economic benefits, social benefits, ecological benefits of inland waterway industry.Based on the above study,this paper points out that the government should expand investment and financing channels, accelerate the infrastructure construction,adjust Inland transport structure,standardize and enlarge the shipping,develop the Shipping Enterprises and logistics network, accelerate the development of linjiang and port-neighboring industry, do scientific management, speed up scientific and technological innovation, strengthen professional training, standardize the inspection of law enforcement, improve the management level of the industry.
