Hebei Iron And Steel Listed Corporate Social Responsibility Information Disclosure Research

With the sustained and rapid economic growth of the world, the contradiction betweenthe shortage of resources and energy and the decline of ecological environment becomingincreasingly prominent. The research on corporate social responsibilities has been aheated topic. The iron and steel industry, as one of the heavy industries, is facing a moredifficult task of energy saving, emission reduction and developing the circular economy.Improving the corporate social responsibility information disclosure became a veryimportant and urgent task of the iron and steel industry. At present, China has no legaldocument toward social responsibility information disclosure of the iron and steelcompanies. The iron and steel companies’ social responsibility reports had lots ofproblems. It has a huge value to make a research about that the disclosure situation, theinfluence factors and the standard guidance of the iron and steel companies’ socialresponsibility information disclosure in theoretical research and practical application.This paper takes3iron and steel industries in Hebei province listed Corporation as theobject of study. A comprehensive analysis on the independent social responsibilityreports of3companies from2010to2012and the relocation of Shougang Group case ispresented. Based on the theories of the stakeholder and according to the characteristics ofthe iron and steel industry of China, this paper studies the social responsibilityinformation disclosure situation and influence factors. The paper adopts the method ofcombining normative research and case analysis to carry on the research, and finds thatthe iron and steel industry should publish their information to undertake their socialresponsibility through social responsibility reports, and fulfill the corporate socialresponsibility information disclosure.The main purpose of this paper is to provide suggestions on theoretical research andpractical application through the study. Hope to provide reference for the promotion ofthe corporate social responsibility information disclosure of the iron and steel industry inChina.
