China’s economy, as the world’s second largest economy, it has maintained steady and rapid growth. Domestic market environment is constantly changing, and now the company’s development can be no longer taken the rough type of line. A visionary entrepreneur will make reasonable strategic layout. Through detailed and scientific analyzing internal and external corporate environment, the management gives appropriate short, medium and long-term strategic goals, and how to implement these strategic objectives. So entrepreneurs should be improved proficiency in strategic management. Wuhan HF Hydroelectricity Equipment Installation Engineering Company Limited(hereinafter abbreviated HF) was established in1994. And after20years of ups and downs development, the company currently has104employee and the registered capital of300million yuan. It will be served as the author’s research subject, and the author will give its development strategy in this paper.HF is a small private construction and installation business, in order to be based on local construction and installation industry, then we need to make the scientific and rational planning of the company’s strategic development. Firstly, the paper analyzes the company’s macro environment through using of PEST method. When the author analyzes the company’s internal environment, the paper mainly specifically explains by the business, management, resources, marketing, and cultural aspects. Then it analyzes the industry environment, taking Porter’s five forces model. Finally, through SWOT analysis matrix, it sums up the internal and external corporate environment. Furthermore the company determines the future development of the most appropriate strategy is to "focus on cost leadership strategy". The purpose of the strategy is neither to expand market ranges by integration strategy, nor to expand market share through diversification strategy, but to mobilize all resources to maximize the advantages of the company and to focus on a particular market segment. Focus on one point and increase mobilization force in the areas of company’s specialization. Then the company can reduce costs in its target markets, and has a dominant position in a particular market segment. In order to support the implementation of the strategy, the company determines vision. Then position four aspects of the company:goal orientation, customer orientation, image orientation, and cultural orientation. In the process of implementation of the strategy, the management need to focus on building management information system, adjusting the organizational structure, improving resource management and enhancing the company’s core competitiveness. And the company should be based on project management, target market development, learning organization cultivation and company culture construction as the most important and difficult job. Finally author gives the targeted measures on how to overcome these serious difficulties.Through the writing of this article, I hope that it not only allows HF company to find their own path of development, ensuring sustainable development of the company; but also gives constructive and universal reference for the future development of other private companies in construction and installation industry, enhancing their performance in the fierce market competition.
