In recent years, personnel training and development of the industry cannot meet thedemand of the rapid development of automobile industry. The market environment isconstantly changing, and the knowledge is updated in an accelerating pace in thetwenty-first century, the core competitiveness of enterprises has been transformedinto the main competition for talent, human resource management has become animportant guarantee for the development of enterprises. Competency is the key topromote the core business to build competitive advantage and organizational change,to build effective propulsion high performance culture in the perspective of corecompetitiveness. How to find a competency model to help automotive service tradeenterprises to better selection, training, incentives for employees which contribute tobuild core competitive advantage for enterprises. The intention of this article toexplore issues and research about how to make effective combination of talent toachieve business objectives, to enable enterprises to focus on the advantages ofresources to the most urgent or significant impact on the operation of the quality oftraining and development, how to make more effective career development pathplanning, so as to further enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.The thesis is mainly for the automotive service trade job competency model. First, thetheory of competence and significance are reviewed to provide a solid theoreticalfoundation for the thesis. Second, a method and a role model of competence qualitybuilt. On the basis of theory, empirical research to strengthen the competence ofdifferent levels of force model manager (management, business), such as analyzingthe competency model for management and operational personnel in Shanghaiautomobile import-export limited company by behavioral event interview, focusgroup interviews, senior leadership interviews, superiors requires and other methodsto construct competency model for management and operational staff in automotiveservice trade, and use the questionnaires to verify and correct the model.The innovation points in this article are as followed. Firstly, combining with thecurrent economic situation, it is an urgent need of international business professionalswhen Shanghai is pushing the "four centers". This paper studies enterprises how to train and evaluate international business professionals through establishing model ofthe competency of manager and other employees in automotive service tradeenterprises, which is innovative and practically valuable. Secondly, unlike the pastold idea of “Human resource management is carried out around jobs”, this paperstates how to create a set of methods for the evaluation of talent, in order to select andtrain professional managers by constructing quality model to formed the core ofpeople’s quality of human resources management mode in the new era. Thirdly, onthe basis of a common competency model, this paper focuses on the study of thecompetency model in the different backgrounds, like different industries (automotiveservice trade enterprises), different job duty (executive director, director, supervisor,etc.), different levels of staff (business department, the functional department). It willprovide information and reference for other related industries to study thecompetency of employees.It has the important meaning for other related industries to study the competency ofemployees in automotive service trade enterprises. This provides a new theory andmanagement mode to achieve the rational allocation of human resources and improvebusiness performance.
