In the era of boundaryless career, people attach more attention to career success in the enterprise, and research on career success also constantly increased in the field of organizational behavior, especially on the influence factors of career success. Scholars try to study from different levels, different perspectives. Researchers study the influence factors of career success from three aspects of individual, organization and society in domestic and overseas. At the individual level, researchers mostly from the perspective such as demographic variables, human capital, character traits to explore its impact on career success. This study explore the impact of the charismatic leadership on subordinate career success from the perspective of leadership style at the individual level, and introduce psychological empowerment and perceived supervisor support as intervening variables, then explore its intermediary role between charismatic leadership and subordinate career success. This study aims to explore the influence of leadership behavior and style on subordinate career success? What kind of leadership can promote subordinates career success? How do charismatic leadership impact subordinates career success?Based on the social exchange theory, social learning theory and leader-member exchange theory, this study puts forward the theoretical model and research hypothesis. This study adopts empirical research methods to prove hypothesis. Firstly, refer to the domestic and foreign mature scale to design the questionnaire, and then collect data through the electronic questionnaire and paper questionnaires, finally using SPSS18.0and Lisre18.71to analyze309valid samples with the methods of validity analysis and correlation analysis hierarchical regression analysis.Empirical analysis results indicate that charismatic leadership can significantly promote subordinate career success, and also have significant positive effects on the psychological empowerment and perceived supervisor support; psychological empowerment and perceived supervisor support can partial mediate charismatic leadership and subordinate career success.Thus demonstrate the theoretical model and research hypothesis.The results of this study show that charismatic leadership can promote subordinate career success; In addition, the charismatic leadership also can promote the subordinate psychological empowerment and perceived supervisor support. Charismatic leadership can not only directly impact on career success, but also indirectly influence subordinates career success through its psychological empowerment and perceived supervisor support. Therefore, on the one hand, this study suggests enterprises pay attention to employees’ career success, help employees achieve career success in the human resource management practices; on the other hand, pay attention to train and bring up the charismatic leadership, attaches great importance to the leadership behavior and style in the role of subordinate professional success.The conclusions of this study have important practical significance on individuals and organizations.
