Analysis Of The Linkage Development Between Logistics And Manufacturing Industry In Hebei

The topic of “linkage development between logistics and manufacturing industry” hasbecome one of the hot issues in recent years. Linkage development between the two industriescan help manufacturing industry reduce cost, increase efficiency and promote industrialupgrading. Logistics industry can integrate logistics resources and improve service level withthe released large logistics demand. Besides, it can play a positive role in promoting thetransformation and upgrade of industrial structure and in speeding up the changing ofeconomic development mode. Various policies have been actively introduced by governmentsto promote the linkage development. Based on this, the paper chooses “linkage developmentbetween logistics and manufacturing industry in Hebei” as the theme. Measures andsuggestions to promote it are given through analyzing the present situation and the existingproblems of the linkage development between the two industries in Hebei.Through theoretical analysis and empirical research, qualitative and quantitative analysis,status and relationship between two industries has been described in the paper. Concepts of“logistics industry” and “manufacturing industry” were defined firstly. Then based on thetheory of linkage development，the paper expounded the connotation and manifestation oflinkage development between the two industries. Then the paper analyzed the developmentstatus of logistics and manufacturing industry of their own, as well as the linkagedevelopment status between them in Hebei. On this basis, an empirical research onrelationship of linkage development between the two industries in Hebei from1996to2011has been made by way of co-integration analysis and Granger causality test econometricanalysis. At last, as a result of theoretical analysis and empirical, measures and suggestions topromote relation form has been put forward.The result shows that the relationship of linkage development between logistics andmanufacturing industry in Hebei has not been formed. There is only unilateral impact ondevelopment of manufacturing industry. Therefore, government, guild and enterprises areexpected to make a joint effort to form the relationship of linkage development between thetwo industries.
