Port is not only the basic industry of the national economy, but also an important part of the global supply chain. In the background of rapid development of economic globalization, how to measure scientifically the performance of port enterprises by using reasonable, accurate, objective evaluating methods, becomes a hot issue for domestic and foreign researchers, excellent port performance levels can enhance the competitiveness of port enterprises, improve the social contribution. On the basis of previous studies, analyzing the reasons and performance of differences in domestic and foreign ports performance research, summarizing in domestic and foreign ports performance evaluation system, and applying EM-AHP and questionnaires to evaluate domestic and foreign ports performance. Then, using foreign port performance evaluation system evaluated domestic port. Finally, summarizing an suitable index system for domestic port enterprise performance evaluation.Firstly, this paper introduces the reader to the system of the enterprise performance evaluation theory framework, which is included by related theory, supporting theory and core theory. On the basis of research achievements, summed up the performance of the enterprise and enterprise performance evaluation meaning. Then, introducing the principle of port enterprises performance evaluation, analyzing the reasons for the difference of domestic and foreign port performance evaluation from two sides, and basing on the research achievements built up the domestic and foreign port performance indicators system. Introducing several methods of performance evaluation, specifically, EM-AHP and questionnaire.Finally, the thesis selected5ports enterprises:Yingkou Port, Jinzhou Port, Dalian Port, Tianjin Port, acquiring the relevant data and carrying on the enterprise performance evaluation, then using questionnaires to evaluate foreign ports performance. In the end analysis of the gap between domestic and foreign ports, summed up a more suitable index system for performance evaluation of domestic ports.
