Construction Of Processing Zone Baotou Food Workshops Focus

Since reform and opening up, China’s economy has experienced rapid development in30, the people’s living standards greatly improved, rapid accumulation of social wealth. Compared to outstanding achievement in economy and scientific fields, the gap has shown in food security, the most essential and practical issue directly affects people’s livelihood Frequent defects on food security has seriously damaged the image of China’s food production, exposed weak government restriction in the field, and caused terror of the public about food security.Due to crude equipment, adverse environmental condition and unsuccessful quality control, individual workshop has become the weakest link in food production. Baotou has quantities of private workshops. Besides, workshops without qualification are scattered everywhere around the city and there is a big food safety hidden trouble. However, small workshops provide jobs for lay-offs and migrant workers and keep them a living. A hastily withdraw would cause series of social problems. Food security supervision has become a serious subject. In recent years, local authorities proceeded from actual conditions and set up food processing industrial zones with visible results. To settle down the problems of existing small workshops in large quantity, small scale, disorder, and weak supervision, Baotou government planned to set up the zones in2014. Thus a study on new ways and methodology for management of the zones has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper elaborated the food workshop situation and existing questions in food security supervision, analyzed the necessity and advantages of food processing industrial zone on the basis of summarizing the advanced experience of all over the country. It came up with new ideas and proposals. These would provide a reference for other cities as well.
