The global crisis for all walks of life have brought powerful concussion, especially manufacturing industry which are faced with reduced orders, overstaffing, overcapacity, enterprise losses, capital chain rupture or even bankruptcy ordeal. And how in such a bad economic environment and increasingly fierce competition in the market seek survival and development, enterprises need to seek new profit point of growth. Logistics as the third profit source is also more and more get the wide attention of people, especially the production logistics, as a modern logistics and modern production indispensable part, its efficiency directly affects the overall efficiency of enterprise production system, its improvement can bring for the enterprise directly or indirectly profit growth.Lean production is originated from TOYOTA production system, which is resulted from conclusion of Automobile Industry by MIT experts. The core point is to remove all the useless working and waste.In this paper, taking an enterprise (here in after referred to as GF) manufacturing production logistics management which is base on low volume and high mix as an example of its existing production logistics problems that exist in the analysis and research. On the base of current research home and abroad as well as deep analysis on the feature of low volume and high mix production system. Studied with the logistics management and lean production related to the theoretical knowledge, then analysis the problem and its reason during the production process and get improvement programs. The paper mainly shows the way to use p-mid value model to improve the layout of production line, change from Push system to Pull system and use KanBan management flexibly in low volume and high mix manufacturing factory. Finally, this thesis shows the method to improve production line balance with the example of line balance in GF company.The paper also list the theoretical knowledge of production logistics management and improvement suit for enterprises that are base on low volume and high mix production system, through comparing GF’s implementation of the improvement production processes data before and after, then access the company’s results after the implementation of lean production. This provides new method and ideas to improve production logistics management in GF company, and also provides the powerful theory support to the improvement of enterprise production logistics and production efficiency. Meanwhile, this is also a good reference example for similar factories.
