The Research On Lean Production Applied In Hanger Line Optimization In WCN Company

WCN Company has to face the serious competitions as other manufacturers did since the elevator industry became saturated recently. One side, the limited capacity couldn’t cover the demand from the potential customers, and the another side, the huge waste in production caused high cost. Therefore the capacity should be improved and waste need to be reduced with lean production implementation.This thesis analyzed problems happened nowadays in AA hanger line of WCN Company and focused on the line balance of hanger assembly and layout of the production line. The cycle time in the bottleneck positions was analyzed to find the root cause, then reduce the waste and balance the line to achieve target cycle time. The layout of the line also was improved to optimize the material flow and combine the steel rope station and top frame cladding process. With these activities the capacity and efficiency were improved, and the wastes were reduced.The research is very important to WCN Company to meet the customer requirement, and it would have certain reference significance for other company to implement lean production.
