China’s policy agrisurance has seen an unprecedented development since itsstartup in2007. It has become one of the world’s most vibrant agrisurance market s.As a representative of agrisurance firms, PICC Chang De has faced tremendousvariations in natural environment, agriculture development, market structure,demands from peasants, policy circumstances, supervision and regulation fromauthority. In her rapid development, this firm has exposed to a few issues in thebusiness strategy of agrisurance. Through studying business strategy improvement ofagrisurance products from PICC Chang De, it is not only a benefit to this firm’sdevelopment but also a lesson for business strategy-making of other agrisurance firms.It may also advance theoretical research on development and regulation of China’sagrisurance.This thesis has four chapters. The first chapter stated the purposes andimplications of this research basing on a background of the d evelopment of threelevels of agrisurance products in PICC Chang De. The second chapter, beginning fromintroduction to agrisurance products of this firm, analyzed the current business of herproducts, summarized major problems in them and proposed reasons behind them.The third chapter, basing on an analysis of the external environment, internalconditions, and goal of business, made an improvement proposal for her productsincluding principles, purposes and targets for business. The fourth chapter present edimplementation plan for her business strategies, including path, conditions andestimated outcomes.This thesis advised three principles, three aims for her improvement onagrisurance products and notes for her external business and internal management.This thesis proposed five particular implementation paths for business strategiesincluding market development, product channels, public relations, marketing andsales, technology innovation, and cooperation alliance. It analyzed three conditionsfor strategyimprovement and also estimated the outcomes. The best strategy for anagrisurance firm are to comply with laws, to follow regulations, and to compete foradvantageous position in the market. In order to create a better business environmentfor agrisurance, the regulatory body also needs to respect the market rule, to supervisescientifically according to law, to maintain the fair order of the market and to protectthe rights of consumers.
