Since China’s reform and opening up, with the rapid development of national economy,China’s construction industry has been rapid development. In project management, however,compared with the foreign construction industry there is a larger gap. Therefore, Chineseconstruction companies must accelerate to improve their level of project management andproject benefit, to promote the competitiveness of the market, to adapt to the needs of themarket competition. Research on construction engineering project management has theextremely important practical significance.Project management is management behavior of managers to the projects. Due to thehuge investment, long period, and complex function planning and technology, constructionengineering project management is more difficult, so it is necessary to be deeply studied. Thisthesis starts from quality, cost, schedule, safety, human resources etc. several aspects, andmakes scientific analysis, prediction, planning, control, accounting and evaluation, in order toreduce the cost and improve quality, so as to achieve even beyond the expected goal.In order to study the condition of construction project management in our country, in thisthesis we choose the representative XX company as the research object. Through systematicanalyses and researches of project management situation of this construction company, wefind out the problems existing in the project management, and analyze the cause of problems,then put forward the methods and countermeasures to solve these problems, in order toimprove the level of XX project management of construction companies. We also hope thatthis thesis can be used as reference to other construction companies, to constantly sum up theexperiences of project management, to push forward project management standardized andscientific, to improve engineering project management level, to adapt to the complex andchangeable construction market, to enlarge and strengthen enterprise, and to promote thecompetitiveness of the enterprise.
