Study On The Influence Of Institutional Environment, Entrepreneurial Resource On International Entrepreneurial Performance

With the deep development of economic globalization, the trend of enterpriseinternationalization strengthens further, the research on internationalentrepreneurship becomes the focus of scholars gradually. Internationalentrepreneurial activities will be influenced by the law environment, indusrialtraditions and others inevitably which will limit or promote the acquisition ofentrepreneurial resources and then to influence the effect of internationalentrepreneurship due to they are rooted in the country’s institutional arrangement.Accordingly, this paper studies the influence of institutional environment andentrepreneurial resources on international entrepreneurial performance.Firstly, the paper makes a review of related theories: define the dimensions ofinstitutional environment, entrepreneurial resource and international entrepreneurialperformance. International entrepreneurial performance is measured from twodimensions of financial performance and non-financial performance. Institutionalenvironment is measured by the Scott’s regulation-cognitive-normative three factormodel. Entrepreneurial resources are measured from three dimensions of capitalresources, human resources and knowledge resources. On the basis of the discussionon the influence of institutional environment and entrepreneurial resources oninternational entrepreneurial performance, we further analyze the role ofentrepreneurial resources in the process of the influence of the institutionalenvironment on international entrepreneurial performance and put forward12hypotheses of institutional environment and entrepreneurial resources on theinternational entrepreneurial performance and1hypothesis of the Intermediary roleof entrepreneurial resources between institutional environment and internationalentrepreneurial performance, then establish the theoretical research model.Secondly, we sort out the questionnaire data and make reliability, validity testing,correlation analysis and regression analysis with SPSS17.0to verify the hypothesesand research model proposed. The results show that regulation and cognitiveinstitutional environment have significant positive effects on both financial and non-financial performance of the international entrepreneurship, normative institutionalenvironment has a positive effect on non-financial performance. Capital resourcesand knowledge resources have significant positive effects on both financial and non-financial performance, human resources have a positive effect on non-financialperformance, only the two hypotheses of the positive effect of normative institutional environment on international entrepreneurial finance performance and humanresources on non-financial performance do not pass the validation, so institutionalenvironment and entrepreneurial resources have an important effect on internationalentrepreneurial performance, besides, the hypothesis of the intermediary role ofentrepreneurial resources between institutional environment and internationalentrepreneurial performance passed the validation which shows that the dynamicchanges of institutional environment will influence the entrepreneurial resources andthen work on the international entrepreneurial performance.Finally, according to the conclusion of this paper, we put forward somesuggestions from regulation-cognitive-normative three factor perspective for ourcountry’s enterprises which engaged in international business activities, and thensummarize the research problems and future research directions.
