Study On The International Entrepreneurship Mode Selection Of Institution And Knowledge-based Resource

Through integrating and analyzing the related literature on internationalentrepreneurship mode, this paper proposed institutional environment, knowledgeresources, international entrepreneurial orientation and international entrepreneurshipmodel as the basic elements of the theoretical model which was based on theinstitution-based view, knowledge-based view and the theory of internationalentrepreneurship.Firstly, through integrating and analyzing the existing literature on internationalentrepreneurship mode, we basically grasped the classification of internationalentrepreneurship model, the theoretical branches and the influencing factors, then thisstudy identified the essential elements of the framework. Secondly, this paper definedthe concepts and the dimensions of each research element; Third, on the basis of thetheoretical research, this paper proposed two antecedent variables which wasinstitutional environment and knowledge resources that focused on the impact ofselecting international entrepreneurship mode, meanwhile this paper researched theregulatory effects of international entrepreneurial orientation between institutionalenvironment and international entrepreneurship mode, and also between knowledgeresources and international entrepreneurship mode; and thus made twelve theoreticalassumptions. Fourth, the184multinational companies accepted the questionnairesurvey which engaged in international entrepreneurship, then had a empirical analysisof the survey data using factors analysis, consistency checking and regression analysis.Fifth, the study analyzed and discussed the empirical results. Finally, the studyproposed the innovation points, the research limitations and also made the outlook forfuture research in the field to look forward to the follow-up scholars continue tostudy.The final results show that the institutional environment was positively related tothe greenfield and acquisition mode, but was negatively related to the joint venture.Knowledge resources were positively related to the greenfield and acquisition mode,but was negatively related to the joint venture. International entrepreneurshiporientation was positively regulated the relationship between the institutionalenvironment and greenfield, also between knowledge resources and greenfield. Butthe findings did not support the regulation of international entrepreneurial orientationon the relationship between the institutional environment, knowledge resources andacquisition mode, nor the institutional environment, knowledge resources and the joint venture.This paper has two innovations: First, this paper revealed how the institutionalenvironment and knowledge resources impacted the selecting of the internationalentrepreneurship model from a macro perspective. It enriched the study ofinternational entrepreneurship mode. Second, there are many research literaturerelated to the impact between the antecedent variables and the internationalentrepreneurship model, but less literature related to the moderating effect on theinternational entrepreneurship model. Thus this paper researched the regulatoryeffects of international entrepreneurial orientation between institutional environmentand international entrepreneurship mode, and also between knowledge resources andinternational entrepreneurship mode from the micro perspective. It revealed themultinational companies with different international entrepreneurial orientation howto choose the international entrepreneurship model, in order to successfully occupyand further develop the international market. It also opened a new perspective.
