Study Of The Development Of Chongqing Exhibition Industry And Its Influencing Factors

With the rapid development of economic globalization, convention and exhibition(C&E) industry has become to an important role to measure the economic development level and degree of internationalization of a region. In recent years, C&E industry developed rapidly in our country, the scale expanded continuously, economic benefit kept rising, showed the strong leading role on the economy, and played an important function to promote the development of the national economy. C&E industry, as one of the emerging service industries, has become a new growth point in national economic development of our country.Over the past years, the economy developed rapidly in Chongqing, the degree of opening to the outside world improved increasingly, and the construction inland open highland was becoming the most distinctive development characteristic. The development of C&E industry in Chongqing will boost the construction of inland open highland, and simultaneously the construction of inland open highland brings the unprecedented development opportunity for the C&E industry in Chongqing. The issuance of a series of documents provides the strong policy support for the development of the C&E industry in Chongqing and those documents will promote it healthy, sustained and rapid development. After many years, the C&E industry in Chongqing has formed a certain scale, the effects of C&E brand cultivation was remarkable, the venues were increasingly perfect, the layout tended to be reasonable, the environment was optimized increasingly, and Chongqing established preliminarily the framework of a "C&E capital" of upper reaches of the Yangtze River.This article is mainly from the view of narrow sense, defines MICE as "convention" and "exhibition", and opens up research and analysis on this basis. The first part introduces the background of selected topic, research significance, method, content and framework, as well as the innovation and the deficiency. The second part introduces the related theory of C&E industry, and combs the related research literatures in the domestic and overseas. The third part introduces the developing environment, current situation and existing problems of C&E industry in Chongqing. The forth part firstly compares and analyzes the key indicator of C&E industry of Chongqing to the various provinces and cities in our country, and then analyzes the overall level of C&E industry based on the KPI index and finds that the C&E industry in Chongqing is in the middle level in our country and the main reason bringing out the low level is the cultivation and construction of C&E brand. The fifth part selects the influencing factors indicators based on diamond model, and then analyzes the influencing factors affecting the development of C&E industry in Chongqing by the grey correlation methods, and finds that the largest factor affecting the development of C&E industry is the level of foreign trade, and then in turn, is the enterprise competition situation, tourism development, economic development level, household consumption level, wholesale and retail industry, hotels and catering services, capital resources, transportation industry and human resources. The sixth part firstly introduces the research conclusion, and then puts forward the measures to improve the level of the development of the C&E industry in Chongqing.
