A Study On Economic Thoughts Of Yan Xishan

Yan Xishan, who once wields political power of Shanxi38years, and as a specialperson acted actively in the modern history of China, is a local warlord in Shanxi andone of the leaders of the government of the Republic. In his half-century career, YanXishan played a remarkable and positive historical role for the transition process ofShanxi province that from traditional closed agriculture society to a modern society. Hispolicy measures for Shanxi history, especially modern construction in Shanxi, hadplayed a role and a significant impact. This paper attempts to sort out and summarizethe economic thinking of Yan Xishan from the perspective of the history of economicthought, and then explore his influence in the process of modernization of Shanxi.Under the principle of "theory" from the history, the author pored over the YanXishan related historical materials and books, using the method of historical comparisonmethod and inductive analysis, and adheres to the Marxist historical materialism and"one divides into two". From the perspective of the history of economic thought tostudy the economic thoughts of Yan Xishan, the author builds Yan Xishan’s economicthought system, and discusses its thought source and summarized its characteristics,summarized its significance.This article studies and analyzes Economic Thought of Yan Xishan mainly fromthree parts. The first part includes the background, current research at home and abroad,research methods and purposes, research ideas, innovations and shortcomings. Thesecond part is the core of this paper, including the background analysis of Yan Xishan’seconomic thought, from "Datong" socialist economic thoughts, agriculture, industry,monetary, financial, international trade and business ideas in five aspects, to build theYan Xishan’s economic thought system. This part includes the innovation of this paper,which is the source of the economic thoughts of Yan Xishan exploration and analysis, tofurther understand deeply the formation of Yan Xishan economic thought. The thirdpart is the fifth chapter of this article. This article hopes adhere to Marxist materialism,then objectively and reasonable evaluate Yan Xishan economic idea sand draw someinspiration, hoping to provide some reference for transition and leapfrog development inShanxi.
