Research On The Difference Of Hunan Regional Economic Development

The difference of regional economic development is an objective economic phenomenon which exists all over the world and can’t be eliminated in a short term. Urbanization and regional economic development are closely related, in general, they promote each other, depend on each other, the level of urbanization affect the pace of regional economic development, and the rapid development of regional economy promote the process of urbanization, the difference of urbanization level will also cause the difference of the level of regional economy. Hunan is a major agricultural province in Central China, since the reform and opening up, its economic construction has made great achievements. But for a long time, the problem of regional economic imbalance is also more prominent, urbanization and economic development shows the uncoordinated condition. Therefore, to accurately grasp the situation of Hu Nan Province, to clarify the evolution relationship between urbanization and regional economic development and find out the countermeasure is necessary.This article researched the regional economic development of Hu Nan province from the perspective of urbanization. Firstly, this paper reviewed the relevant research results of domestic and foreign scholars’in this field, summarized the theoretical basis that relate to this subject. Secondly, in order to accurately measure the regional economic difference of counties (areas) in Hu Nan province, first of all use the single index and adopt7statistical indexes to dynamic statistical analysis the per capita GDP in the year of2003-2012. Then, use multiple index method and select10indicators in120counties (areas) as an comprehensive evaluation system, According to datas in2012, static quantitative analysis the difference of regional economic development level in Hu Nan Province, we can find that the absolute difference expand rapidly, presenting the trend of accelerated development; the relative difference is bigger, but the growth momentum is steady; cities more bad and less good, regional development is not harmonious. Thirdly, from the perspective of urbanization qualitative analysis the influence of urbanization level to regional economic development. Through the establishment of comprehensive index system, introduce coordinated development degree method to explore the coordination state of urbanization and regional economic development in Hu Nan province, in order to find out the inherent rules between them and the existing problems. Finally, according to the evaluation and results propose the recommendations and policies that narrow the differences of regional economic development and promote the coordinated development of regional economy.
