On the premise of not giving up general research, this paper emphasizes comparison and relation on regional urbanization study, by means of the comparative study of the urbanization of China's West and East, and makes description and explanation of the differences between them by using positive and theoretical methods, and then searches for the policies of promoting the urbanization in China's West and East to develop in harmony.Particularly, through observing and studying the history of China's cities and urbanization, summarize the characteristics of different periods' urbanization, and then offer the historical background for supporting comparison between China's West and East.
