With the rapid growth of social economics and the innovation of new modes of transport, the intercity’s communication becomes more frequently, and so does strengthen of people’s demand for urban comprehensive passenger transport system. On the other side, Due to the important role played in the urban public transportation system and the outstanding function of solving "city disease", many cities has planned or are planning to build the comprehensive passenger transportation hub. The formation of the hub can become a new core growth pole of the city and various land use such as commercial office land, tourism culture land, dining entertainment land, etc, will be built with that. However, many comprehensive passenger transportation hubs exist such problems as function of single, land utilization of not high and the unreasonable configuration of the internal facilities and the surrounding lands, all of these issues make uncoordinated development of the hub area. Therefore, to promote intensive development of urban land utilization, improve the land value of hub area and unleash traffic effect of the comprehensive passenger transportation hub, this paper studies the integrated develop of comprehensive passenger transportation hub with surrounding land use.Firstly, as hierarchical structure of the comprehensive passenger transportation hub be the important part of hub planning, the paper summarizes the hub’s existing level classification method and point out the defects based on the relevant research theory about the formation and development of the comprehensive passenger transportation hub and the its integration planning with land-use, and then, from the point of view on integrating land-use with urban transportation, the paper studies the function of the comprehensive passenger transportation hub and proposes a way to divide its level. Secondly, passenger demand forecasting as to determine the size of internal facilities and layout of hub in the early planning, the paper analyzes the composition of passenger flow and according its nature to divides into three parts, external passenger flow, transfer passenger flow and induced passenger flow by the surrounding land. Then, based on each part, the paper gives the main ideas of forecast and the related technical analysis methods. Thirdly, through taking the reciprocal of urban land-use and transportation into account and using research results about the impact of urban land use on people travel behavior for reference, a land use optimization model of the comprehensive passenger transportation hub location is presented and verified through a case study. Finally, the paper studies the facilities scale of both the comprehensive passenger transportation hub and its surrounding land. The former can be achieved on the basis of the part of traffic demand forecasting, the existing standard and some research results. By considering the interrelation of the comprehensive passenger transportation hub and its surrounding land and referring TOD city development model, the paper established a multi-objective decision-making model to determine the scale of each kind of land surrounding the hub, which is demonstrated its effectiveness by a case study.
