As the saying goes,"hunger breeds discontentment", food safety is related to the sustainable development of economy and the harmony and stability of people’s physical and mental health, safety of life and society, to solve the food safety problem is beneficial to the people’s livelihood, and even national security. Food safety incidents happened in recent years has sounded the alarm for us, so that we are aware of the problem of food security is an important strategic issue in economic development. To ensure the safety of food hygiene, maximum limit reduces the risk, is not only the responsibility of the food industry, and government regulation of the goal of the national. Although the Chinese government to increase the food safety supervision, has taken a series of measures, but the food security situation is still grim. Therefore, this paper systematically analyzes the problems in the current food safety supervision in China: Problems and causes, mainly uses the method of comparative analysis, literature survey, countermeasure research method, from government regulation of public management perspective, using the analytical method of public policy in-depth analysis of the system in the regulation of food safety the problem and its causes, and put forward the countermeasure for the situation of our country on the basis of borrow food safety regulatory experience of developed countries, hoping to provide some useful reference for China to solve the problem of food safety supervision.
