Since the reform and opening, Chinese tourism industry has developed very fast, the tourist cities that take the tourism industry as an important economic pillar are developing rapidly with it too, and its number is larger and larger. In2013, Chinese excellent tourism cities amounted to339, which accounted for51.60%of the number of Chinese cities, the tourist economy has become an important part of the tourist economy system in China. But the tourism industry is a big industry with strong sensitivity like dependence, volatility and seasonality and so on, the tourist cities dependent on the tourism industry so strongly that it will inevitably lead to the exposure out of the tourist city economic system of the tourism industry sensitivity, thus show up as the vulnerability, general speaking, the more depending on tourism industry, the more obvious of vulnerability of the tourist city economic system will be. In recent years, crisis such as political conflicts, natural disasters, infectious diseases and social unrest happened frequently, and they made the vulnerability more significant because of the characteristics of fast speed and short intervals, and the vulnerability of the tourist city economic system was more significant too, and has become the principal contradiction of controlling or hinderring the tourism sustainable development. So, there is important theoretical and practical significance for promoting tourism city economic and social sustainable and healthy development of analysing the connotation, representations, influence factors and control measures of the vulnerability of the tourist city economic system.This paper taked cities of Huangshan, Guilin, and Dunhuang as examples, discussed and comparativly analyzed sensitivity, response capacity, vulnerability, influence factors and obstacle factors of urban economic system by combing the qualitative analysis with quantitative evaluation, and borrowed the population migration thrust-tension theory of American scholar Everett S.Lee to explain the reason, finally concluded the countermeasures and suggestions of reducing the vulnerability of tourist city economy system, and so as the reference to other tourist cities. There are six chapters in the paper:introduction, literature review, related theory analysis, setting up the vulnerability evaluation model of the tourist city economic system, empirical comparative analysis, conclusion and suggestion. The first chapter puts forward the background, significance, methods and the train of thought of the paper; the second chapter introduces the related research of tourist city, urban economic system, tourism economic system, vulnerability, vulnerability of economic system, vulnerability of urban economic system, vulnerability of tourism economic system, vulnerability of tourist city economic system both at abroad and in domestic, and concludes the status quo of the reseach on vulnerability of tourist city economic system is weak, and thus leads to the necessity of the research.; the third chapter states the related theoris involved in the paper, and analyzes the influence factors and mechanism of action of vulnerability of the tourist city economic system from theoretical level; the fourth chapter sets up the evaluation index system, introduces the entropy evaluation method uesd in the paper to assign objectively, and introduces Set Pair Analysis to set up the evaluation model; the fifth chapter takes Set Pair Analysis into Huagnshan, Guilin and Dunhuang respectively, and analyzes the correlation, influence factors, obstacle factors and the comparative analysis of all the aspects above, then summarizes the reasons; the last chapter are the conclusions and suggestions of the paper.
